The proposed State Fair dates extension, coupled with eliminating the payment of Video Lottery Terminal revenue to the Town of Hamburg and 16 other municipalities throughout the State of New York is devastating to the citizens of our towns.
The town of Hamburg struggles to balance its budget. The reaching into a significant revenue source demonstrates disregard for your constituents. It appears Albany’s concern for big city projects is at our expense.
Considering the effect of these proposals on your district, I encourage you to vote down the State Fair extension dates, and the elimination of the payment of Video Lottery Terminal revenue.
Respectfully,

The Governor’s proposed budget will eliminate a much needed and deserved revenue from video lottery terminals located at the Hamburg Casino. The Casino, which is exempt from property taxes, is a drain on Town provided services.

Enough Taking money away from other areas of our region. Buffalo gets billions and you pull funds from other areas quietly, not good. PS thanks for kicking the county fair to make yourself look better to the state...

Please do not cut the casino funding to the Town of Hamburg. We supply services of Police, Fire and Highway to the Casino. We should not have to suffer with cut funding.

This plan which will increase taxes by a crushing 9%, would bankrupt my low middle income household, destroy business and devalue homes. Pay for your liberal, say anything to get elected policies some other way. One idea is not to spend $5million on a change of dates to the state fair.

Governor Cuomo and Lt Hochul should be ashamed for themselves to try and money grab from the revenue The Town of Hamburg and Erie County receives from the video gaming. This money helps keeps taxes down, helps pay for the services such as road repairs, police and EMS calls rendered in and around the property. Maybe you should stop wasting our tax money flying around to Puerto Rico and Poland and stay put in New York- you’re the governor not the president. Hochul a once town of hamburg councilwoman has clearly forgot where she came from thanks for sticking up for your hometown. Everyone in Hamburg should sign this petition to keep our taxes down.
