From a business perspective, I am appreciative of the environment Classic and Flying Horse have created. After evaluating many retail / commercial opportunities throughout Colorado Springs and Monument, I chose to relocate my business from the Old North End in Colorado Springs to Flying Horse in 2019. My decision was based on the stellar reputation of the community, developer and the overall vision of Flying Horse. As a business owner in this community, I am very concerned about the tactics and direction of FHMD 2 & 3 thus far, including the negative PR campaign that negatively affected every small business in this community. District 2 and District 3 need to be responsible and distribute the funds that are owed to District 1 for O&M. As Mr. Dunham appropriately stated, "it's time to work together for the mutual benefit of the residents and businesses who are part of this community."

We have been drawn to Flying Horse since we moved to Colorado Springs in 2006. It has been a premier community and want to keep it that way. It is time to work together for the mutual benefit of the residents and businesses who are a part of this community.

We built here 16 years ago because of the amenities, both, existing at the time and planned in the development. It is shameful that someone moving here 2 years ago apparently doesn’t enjoy the vision that drew many of us to locate here. The current FHMD 2 and 3 boards should be the ones holding an open house to explain why they are doing what they’re doing. There have been no meeting minutes from this board since they were elected: the 5/12/23 Canvass Board Meeting, the 5/15/23 Special Meeting Agenda or the 5/22/23 Continued Special Meeting. They certainly owe all the taxpayers they represent an explanation!

This has been a complete waste of time and money that doesn’t belong to the board members. I would support a recall if it comes to that.

FHMD 2 & 3, please honor the agreement and commitments with regard to FHMD 1 and stop wasting our money in frivolous, almost personal, spending of receipts and cease the litigation that is also only depleting funds which are intended to be paid to FHMD1 for O&M within the community.

If local governments think it's okay to tax homeowners into oblivion both by new assessments. Or fees we will replace you and vote a different local government into office.

while I like the idea of homeowners on the various metro district boards, can we please be sensible about who pays for common things like parks and landscaping? And please make sure we pay our obligations. Finally, Behave like adults, not children.

It appears to me that we are all being forced to pay for one person's personal vendetta with Classic Homes. Let's get back to doing what is best for the entire Flying Horse community.
