AMC, issued a "Statement on GF &R" on 6/9/2020. By publicly issuing a political

position statement on behalf of AM as an organization, they

have violated the M Constitution section 2B.

As a members of AM, while we as individuals may agree with the

content of the statement, the AMC Members' blatant disregard of our

organization's governing document and long standing policy of refraining

from making such statements as an organization represents

unconstitutional behavior by current leadership. In response, we are

requesting a recall election for the AMC Board positions of Chair and of

Vice-Chair. (Reference: Section 2B: M* encompasses members

representing many points of view. Consequently, M* as an organization

shall not express an opinion as being that of Mensa, take any political

action other than the publication of the results of its investigations,

or have any ideological, philosophical, political, or religious

affiliations.)

A recall requires 250 signatures. For signatures

to be valid the signer must include his or her printed name, town,

state, signature, and membership number. The National Office may fill in

the membership number so long as there is sufficient information

provided to determine the identity of the signer.

If 250 signatures are gathered on this petition, a follow up effort may be

required to collect the signatures in an officially acceptable manner,

including the physical collection of wet signatures.
