They're vital. Bathrooms that require a purchase are economic discrimination. It's the most basic service a society should provide.

As someone who had a medical issue for a while that required more frequent bathroom use... this would have been a godsend.

Access to clean water and clean washroom facilities should be a human right. I agree that a 7 day a week drop in centre is needed in New Westminster and feel that this could be one of the locations where toilet facilities could be offered. My only worry is that people are safe not matter what is agreed upon and feel that the NWCAT would be the best to provide insight and should be a part of any working groups.

We need a homeless drop in, available, food, showers, and access to resources especially after business hours and on weekends!

Access to safe, clean washroom facilities is a basic right for all human beings and especially for people who are homeless. I urge that the City install facilities that are more substantial and hygienic than Porta-Potties, determine where they are needed, keep them open 24/7 and have a process to supervise and clean/re-stock them. I suspect these could be prefabricated, modular structures (relatively inexpensive and decent, even attractive). They should also be suitable for infants and young children. Let's set an example, a standard for other cities to follow.

I support this very important request. They also need to be strategically located where they can have the most impact.

Public washrooms for homeless women and children is essential and is a public health issue. Women experience on going issues not only on a monthly bases but on a daily bases as well. it is inhuman to believe that women and children should have to relive themselves in bushes, parks, sidewalks etc. Stregicley placing public washrooms throughout new west is the human thing to do. I support this petition.

I support the installation of a public toilet - one placed up town and one placed down town.
