This would be a great addition to the area and good for business! It’s really difficult to get to the other side on this stretch of Melrose. I see pedestrians crossing all the time and it’s a bit dangerous since cars speed down this stretch!

I work at the corner of Melrose and Orange feel that for the safety of residents and employees in the neighborhood we need this crosswalk. I have been witness to people j walking, motor accidents as well as speeding cars on this block. The crosswalk would not only offer pedestrians a safe way to cross the street, it would discourage motorists from driving so fast on this block.
