All six Senior Service Colleges and most Mid-career PME (Professional Military Education) institutions are building/enhancing Communication Centers with a focus on oral and written communication (aka Rhetoric). As is increasingly recognized at the Army War College, "The strategic leader who can't communicate is akin to a weapon without ammunition . . . mostly useless." Past time for NCA and academic communication professional to engage.

I appreciate the need for a place where the full range of approaches and perspectives on the role that the military and its members play, locally, nationally, and globally, can find a home.

This would be a really important addition to the association. As a communication scholar and military family member, I think this will fill a crucial gap in the association's structure.
