This petition serves to voice the concerns of Melbourne Polytechnic students enrolled in CPC60115 (commencement date Feb 2021 and beyond ). The signers of this petition will be addressed as “We”.

Melbourne Polytechnic should continue to provide an online delivery option for CPC60115. Switching to an on-campus only learning approach will present issues such as -

1. Interfere with students established work commitments. We decided to undertake this course because we were assured that the course would have an online delivery option to its completion.

2. With multiple reported cases of COVID-19 at Melbourne Polytechnic campuses , the health of students and their families may be undermined.

3. We are familiar with the online learning platform by now which presents many advantages such as the ability to review past lectures and workshops.

We do believe that a practical component is still vital and encourage MP to organise more site visits and hands-on workshops. However , we believe switching to a solely traditional campus delivery method could be detrimental to our overall learning experience and wellbeing.
