When you arrive in most cities, there is a sign saying “Home of (famous resident).” With the recent Olympic gold medal win for Women’s Hockey against Canada,we think the Lamoureux twins deserve a sign when entering Grand Forks. They have been a staple part of our community for many years and have been a great example to women and young girls alike. They have won three Olympic medals in total. Two silver and now one gold medal. We as a Grand Forks community have been very proud of these two and we think they deserve recognition in the form of a permanent sign.
