Petition to Update Glamsquad Pricing and Compensation Standards

As service providers within Glamsquad, we are asking for an urgent and necessary review of current pricing and compensation. The existing rates do not reflect the true value, cost, or labor involved in providing luxury, on location beauty services, especially in a high traffic/high cost market like Miami.

Our work requires traveling to clients homes and hotels daily, navigating increasing Miami traffic, carrying professional kits, and delivering elevated service under strict time constraints. This is a premium convenience for clients, yet the pricing does not reflect that reality. Holiday rates, peak traffic surcharges, and express service fees must be updated to match the current demand and conditions.

Hair stylists and makeup artists are consistently being underpaid compared to industry standards. Prices for products, gas, tools, and cost of living have risen significantly, and yet our service rates have not been adjusted. These prices are now often lower than what walk in salons charge despite the fact that we are traveling to clients and providing a higher level of service and accommodation.

Additionally, destination fees should be fully paid out to the artist. The current compensation does not cover valet parking, hotel access delays, long wait times for vehicles, or the wear and tear placed on our cars. These expenses regularly exceed the amount we receive.

We are also requesting a tiered compensation structure as we have previously had meeting about that acknowledges:
• Licensed professionals
• Artists with consistently high reviews
• Years of experience
• Work with high-end clientele and celebrities
• Overall professional reputation

These factors directly impact the client experience and should be recognized within the pay structure.

We respectfully ask Glamsquad considers updating its pricing and artist compensation to reflect fairness, industry standards, and the true cost of providing on location luxury beauty services.
