I think that the hybrid model made so much more sense. Our school is known for having alot of kids, that also means the virus would have a bigger chance spreading faster. And since thats not what we want i thnk that it is better if we go with the hybrid model.

It’s important for us to continue hybrid learning. There’s students and teachers who have jobs outside of school, so for they’re time being confiscated from them due to this decision of the school board making it 8 class periods per day virtual or not is not only unsafe for the people going in person, but also selfish and not very kind to those doing the virtual learning.

As a student from South Western High School, I have already been through this fight once. Our school originally started with a hybrid 50/50 plan which worked quite effectively, allowed us to properly distance and practice safe precautions, and prevented the spread with high effectiveness. While this plan continued to work, many members of the community pushed to open full time, and after much backlash against the plan, the school board decided to push through with the plan to open full time. Because of this, many student who were able to attend with the hybrid schedule now had to move full-time virtual and the safety precautions could not be properly met in all situations. The spread of the virus escalated and because of this change to the full-time plan, our case numbers spiraled out of control. The school then shut down fully and everyone went virtual, all because we couldn’t stick with the hybrid plan that was functioning effectively. I urge you to consider the option of implementing a hybrid plan as it allows for safer environments to combat the virus and also provides more opportunity for many students to be able to attend in-person, something which is very beneficial to many students’ education.

Start off with the Hybrid method. Why are we rushing to go back 5 days a week? Start with Hybrid and see how it goes, it's much safer.

I really want to return to physical school. I would learn and retain knowledge so much more effectively. I would also get work done earlier and to a higher quality. However, 5 full days in a highly populated school with tight corridors is not a good idea whatsoever

I think we should start doing hybrid just to see how it goes.. the district jumped to far to start off 5 days a week.. my thing are we gonna do 5 days a week for a couple weeks then have to come back home because of cases?? I think hybrid would be easier and safer till we know for sure we are safe to go back in the building normally

As a member of a public safety agency I believe that we (student body) deserve the right to the education we want and need . And as COVID-19 cases rise it gives a threat for us students and essential workers like me a first responder trying to protect and serve the community.

I go to Pottsville Area High School and we are on a hybrid learning schedule and I believe that it is the best way in these times to give the students the education they need. It’s obviously not like 5 days a week which would be amazing but in these circumstances trying to equally give each student an opportunity to learn is crucial.
