98% of Canadians are Vit D deficient leading to many health related problems. Drops are superior to the tablet form but the strength needs to be increased to get the optimum dosing. 400 IU and 1000 IU just doesn't give us enough daily dosing of Vit D.

I know the intake should be 3x more. We need to change the recommended dosage to be healthy,especially here in Canada

There is a minimal risk of toxicity in healthy individuals and the benefits associated to adequate levels could reduce the risk of many non-communicable diseases. More research on toxicity levels must be conducted to increase recommended daily intake.

See a lot of patients still low in Vitamin D on a regular basis even when they are taking 2000-3000 IU as recommended by their doctors and are still low in Vitamins D. Very much in support of re-evaluating the Vitamin D guidelines.

I believe vitamin D is important My doctor has been prescribing 10,000 units per week for years but I was recently told that was too much . Likely not enough!
