This is a critical and important preventive form of healthcare. I have been on high doses of Vit.D for some time and am in better heatlh.

I have always struggled with low vitamin D levels, have had a 75,000 unit vit.d pill a few years ago to boast it to accceptable levels, plus a 40,000 unit pill in 2014. I know when my levels are low with the amount of pain I have in my joints. I have my family all on Vitamin D because of this. Glad to sign this petition!

I have independently confirmed the conclusions of Veugelers and Ekwaru in a completely different population. The RDA for vitamin D (i.e., the intake needed to ensure that 97.5% of the population equal or exceed the target level) is approximately 6000 to 8000 IU per day, from all sources (sun, food, supplements).

As an MS patient who takes lots of Vitamin D, and is monitored regularly by my family physician, I can not state the importance of a review of the medical literature on Vitamin D. Doctors need to use up-to-date charts when looking at Vitamin D levels, and not the 40 year-old ones they where given in medical school.

Re-evaluation is what is right when an error that affects millions of people is pointed out!
