Good! Hope and pray that this hhelps to prevention and not "after the fact" instances of how our healthcare system does things inthe future.

I have been taking vitamin D supplements for years, but when I was tested my blood levels of vitamin D were extremely low (off the charts), possibly due to medications I have been taking. I have had 3 doses of 50,000 IU of vitamin D in the past year plus taking 12,000 IU per day, and recently upon retesting, my blood serum levels of vitamin D are finally up to the lowest end of the normal range. Having adequate vitamin D is very important for the health of all Canadians. Governments should be providing the public with adequate vitamin D supplements.

I have been taking vitamin D supplements for many years because I am very careful about sun exposure due to increased risk of skin cancer. About one year ago I was tested for serum levels of vitamin D which were extremely low, even though I was taking the maximum recommended dose. I have since increased my dosage to 6,000 IU for one year and when I was tested again, my vitamin D levels had increased to the low end of the normal range.

Fermented Cod Liver Oil... 2 years/no colds... Here's one lady who'll keep taking 1/2 tsp/day.
