This is just one of many items I would like Canada's mdeical system to re-evaluate. The costs of the system, and its efficacy, can be improved considerably by incorporating complementary treatments and tests offered by chiropractors, naturopaths, EFT, and many others. Please take these things into consideration Health Canada.

I have had my bone mineral density monitored for over 28 years due to osteopenia. I developed osteoporosis in 2012 and was in the high risk category for fracture. I was advised to consider Bisphosphonates. Reluctant to do so, I began to take Vit D3 3000 iu daily. (No calcium) My physician called me back to her office for the results of my BMD test done in Feb of this year. The results, no sign of osteoporosis nor osteopenia. My results were completely normal! I am convinced the Vit D3 was the factor.

The Ontario Ministry of Health should be lobbied to reinstate insured vitamin D screening.
