Especially when you live in climates where sun becomes a premium through the winter months....seasonal affective disorder is rampant but most people don't even know about it.

I was found to be D deficient, Dr. just advised I take a suppliment, no advise on how much. Checked online for more info. I think it is time for this to be re-evaluated.

When it is known that lack of vitamin D contributes to the incidence of MS - we need to inform everyone about the benefits of vitamin D!!

We are not doing our people a service by suggesting such low doses of Vitamin D. D deficiency is responsible for a host of symptoms and diseases. Please review the research and look to what other countries are doing. I have been taking 6000 units a day for years and I am still only in the moderate range. The likelyhood of overdose is non-existant.

Looks like anyone who had a borderline deficiency in vitamin D was actually deficient ... time for a checkup ... while this petition is at it, might it not be a good idea to have the government pay for the testing like it used to a few years ago? Anyone who had been trying to keep up with their own 'D stats' with their Dr.'s help, has had to cover the cost of the testing ... this eliminated the testing for any deficient D sufferers who could not afford it,from getting their levels tested
