it would be easier as a person already deficient in vitamin D to be able to take a higher dose in 1 tablet rather than a handful just to try and bring myself to "normal" levels

due to the lack of sunshine in Canada during the long winter months it would be wise to increase the intake of D supplements.

A higher dosage would be more convenient than swallowing several D3 1000 IU Tablets per day. Please consider this request to change.

I would really like to know the correct RDA for vitamin D because at the amount now my vitamin D levels are way below what is recommended.

My husband has MS. He started taking 4000 IU Vit. D several years ago. His Dr. tested his Vit. D level in Aug. (he's a farmer and is outside all day so his levels should have been their highest at that time). His levels were just near the high normal levels. With all of the research linking low Vit. D and many conditions you would think Vit. D testing would be standard.

I wish Drs. would test everyone's Vit. D levels in Jan. to see just how low they are.

health Canada needs to reevaluate Vit. D requirements for populations living in northern parts of the world where natural Vit. D absorbed is extremely low.
