Director Camacho said it very well. The point I wish to emphasize is where she said "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" and "this appointment sets a dangerous precedent." Fair is fair. As a certificated staff member I am paid on a salary schedule. I am paid extra because I serve on an extra committee (equity), but all of that is clearly itemized and recorded according to a transparent agreement, and is open to any other staff member that serves or wishes to serve on such a committee. It would be unfair for someone on my salary schedule to receive random extra money with no specific, agreed-upon criteria that could be met by others. How is this fair to other administrators, to say nothing of the district staff as a whole?

This was sneaky and shady! So much for "positive relationships" with the district and the union!

if we can't make copies for our classes without approval then this should not happen without the community's approval.

The district would never rehire one of us after we lost our job due to cause.

I disagree with this position be created and hired specifically for the benefit of one person with public tax dollars. This should have been opened up to the public to ensure the best possible candidates could apply for the position.

I wish I could resign after doing something shady, and get welcomed back with a huge appointment to a job created just for me, with a huge salary increase. Bethel…I am ashamed of you!

All open job positions should go through hiring protocol, no exceptions, no appointments, no matter how difficult the position may be.

This woman enjoys the misery of others and I have experienced it first hand. The actions of the district, and the 3 yes voting school board members, are counter to the best interests of our Bethel community.

This raises the question of if transportation is struggling with hiring drivers then why not work on the problem of hiring drivers. How does this position meet the needs of students? Administration needs to be transparent with all decisions and answer the "why first.

This sounds super fishy for some one to be fired for cause and then rehired in a leadership position. I hate when boards go and make underhanded dealings that trickle down and affect the entire district.
