As an owner and member of the Parkland Bay Home Owners Association, we respectfully request that the board, acting on our behalf; dissolve our of agreement of work with Dixie Landscaping as a result of their failure to carry forth the terms of their contract as hired. We request that bids for a replacement landscaping contractor are taken as soon as possible.

Specific contract items not presently completed as specified in the contract include but are not limited to:

  • Mowing a weeding of resident's properties
  • Mowing and weeding of common areas
  • Appropriate pesticide application
  • Trimming of common area bushes and shrubs

2+ weeks in between mows in South Florida is unacceptable. Grass is overgrown and uneven. Weeds are out of control. Tire marks from mowers left all over pool pavers. Gates left wide open after mowing - which is a complete safety hazard because of pools and pets. No response to emails sent to Dixie supervisors. Work orders are ignored until property manager steps in. Dixie has got to go!

The weeds are out of control. There is no consistency in the service. The landscaping generally looks poor across the community and there has been no improvement in the health of our trees and plants, since switching to Dixie.

I am not happy with our current landscapers. We have weeds everywhere. I spent 3 hours weeding my garden the other day and have to do it almost every week. We were told that weeding would be done for us. Also my grass is full of weeds and we don’t have any multch left.

Sorry to say my yard looks horrible , I have been treating my own fungus ,fertilizing my own lawn , picking up all my own lawn debris . My house in Sunrise was better kept up and I was the one mowing my lane .

Landscaping services are not being executed commensurate with expected service levels and fees paid. Consequently, yards have a weed to grass ratio of approximately 4:1, as well as thriving fire ant colonies.

Dixie is not providing services in accordance with our contract with them. We are paying money for services that we are not receiving, and the services that we are receiving are subpar. Lennar continually allows landscaping to be an issue in our community, and continually pays vendors for non-performance.

The mosquitoes are atrocious on my property. Other species of bugs are terrible . My grass, regardless of the recent rain, has died on the east side of my home because of the inefficient work by Dixie Landscaping.

Weeds must be removed and our grass cut with increased frequency over the summer months. Total disregard to landscaping with truck tire marks left everywhere. Thku
