If we have too many different paths to certification then it dilutes everyone certification. This is a clear problem with the coaching profession in general. It is imperative that organizations that were set up specifically for certification purposes take the lead. ACO, please withdraw this plan.

I very much appreciate ACO requiring certification of member coaches. That is a valuable step in professionalizing the field. However, it seems to me that creating another "certifying designation" can imply that ACO is actually certifying coaches and may contribute to confusion rather than clarity.
