Dear Mr. Thero, You need to beat generics at their own game. Make it difficult for them to enter the market and gain an edge by making a generic of Vasepa. Cc’d

Offense is indeed the best defense. Launching generics now may cut our margins in the short run but that is bound to happen when generics arrive. However, we need to eat the humble pie now in order to secure a dominant position in the long run, and fending off generic entry will allow us to retain our majority market share. We urge Amarin not to drop this ball.

Mr. Thero, Please do not wait for generics to launch! Contracts should already have been secured with all major pharmacies for Amarin’s VASCEPA to be THE one and only generic offered in the US. Why wait for generics to make the first move? Shut them out NOW and take back 100% of our rightful US market! Signed an extremely dissatisfied owner of 128,400 shares.
