We the United Students of The University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus believe that as any place of higher learning grows, so does it's need for on campus activities. Currently, the Sitka Student Senate office is located in room 104 inside of a larger office near the lobby. This is a perfect place for a new Student Union Room (SUR) to be located. The SUR would be a place for local students to participate in recreational activities, access commodities such as the vending machines, hang out with other students, and just relax, all conveniently located next to the Student Senate Office. This would generate more interest in Student Senate activities and offer a permanent location for all USUAS-SC events.
