I travel to Pinellas from Polk County to play the disc golf courses more than a few times per year and also shop at local stores when I'm there. I would play a course in Seminole 3x per year without a handicaps/ league/tournaments and more if there were handicaps/tournaments at the course. Disc golf is a very low impact activity for a community environmentally and high impact activity economically, physically and mentally. The more courses around Central Florida, definitely the better.

This proposed disc golf course is a fantastic idea for passive recreation on the property. Currently a course located at Youth Park in Pinellas Park is scheduled for removal. This new disc golf course will provide a centrally-located course to the community which will like see significant use. I myself will likely use the course 1-2 times per week, and more regularly once the course at Youth Park is removed. Disc Golf is a rapidly growing sport with deep roots in the Tampa Bay area. It is relatively easy to learn, and has a very low bar for entry. In general the sport is quite safe and encourages players to more regularly interact with nature. I believe by providing more options for players, Pinellas County will help foster growth of the sport and will draw more people to the area near the new course.

My wife and I live in the mountains of Georgia. She loves the beach and I love disc golf. We travel a lot and when deciding where to go, it is often where she can have the beach and I can play disc golf. We have stayed in various hotels down there, probably 50% the Sirata and 50% various other hotels and resorts. We also dine out all our meals, so by having disc golf courses, you are bringing tourists that spend money with your local businesses. Thank you much, Larry Fruchtman

We need more disc golf courses in the area because the sport is growing so it is nice to have more parks to venture to play . I would use this park at least once a month.
