My son and I cross this street everyday. We see the driver neglect first hand. Too many close calls over the years for the students and staff of Whitney Young.

I see daily how dangerous this spot is and how aggressive drivers have become. Pedestrian fatalities are increasing in Chicago & elsewhere. It’s not a matter of if but when a pedestrian fatality will occur at this spot unless something is done ASAP!

As a Class of ‘13 alum, myself and everyone I knew had very close encounters getting hit by cars under the bridge. A flashing pedestrian cross light is a logical and needed addition.
