Petition for Constitutional Amendment for Personal Privacy
The issue of personal privacy has been eroded, is challenged, threatened for reasons from marketing to governmental intrusion as a means around other constitutional protections - things we don't need and typically don't want. The concept of personal privacy has been debated in courts at every level with some "common law" (court decisions) setting vague boundaries but no guaranteed protections.
We need these protections.
The protection of our personal privacy needs to be established clearly and factually and the only guarantee is by constitutional amendment. This petition aims to get that action started. With enough signatures we can get a legal model established and start influencing our congressional representatives into action. This is a monumental effort but one we need today more than ever.
