Schools need to be fully reopened at this point. It has been more than a year and science has schools are not a significant source of transmission. Even the CDC is suggesting schools reopen fully! Meanwhile, our children fall further and further behind and suffer emotionally from the online learning. Young students are learning to read and write, they shouldn't be expected to also know how to type and operate a computer at such a young age. These students are the future of this country, and by keeping schools closed we are seriously jeopardizing not just their but all of our futures.

I support a choice for 5 days a week. Take a survey - see how many parents would send their kids back this year and then there will be a better understanding of what spacing requirements you would need. Other districts in this state are sending out feelers to see who would return to 5 days in person. Let's do the same.

Schools can open safely. Remote learning 3x week is very difficult for some kids (like mine). Kids need the physical interaction with peers and adults. This is so critical in growing up "correctly"
