Petition to the Insignia HOA Board: Evaluate and Consider Changing Property Management

We, the residents of Insignia, are calling on the HOA Board to formally review the performance of our current property management company, CWD, and consider alternative management options that better reflect the values and expectations of our community.

*This petition is not driven by a single incident: this is a pattern that has been going on for years. For the sake of brevity, we won’t enumerate every such issue here, but ask that you elaborate (or upvote) in the comments for anything not addressed below.*

This petition follows growing concerns about how staffing decisions are handled, how communication is managed, and whether our current management reflects the level of care, transparency, and accountability Insignia residents deserve.

Why We're Concerned:

Recent events - most notably the abrupt termination of longtime concierge Arthur Anderson have brought to light broader issues in how personnel matters are managed. Many residents were disturbed not only by the loss of a well-respected staff member, but also by the lack of transparency, communication, and proper process that accompanied it.

What We’re Asking the Board to Do:

1. Conduct a formal review of CWD’s performance, with input from residents and staff.
2. Explore other property management companies that better align with our building's values. Also, look for precedents - local buildings who have also transitioned companies.
3. Should a transition occur, ensure retention of current on-site staff who are respected, integral to our community culture, and do their job well.
4. Commit to greater transparency and accountability in how management interacts with residents and handles personnel decisions.

Insignia is a premier residential community and it should be managed by a team that reflects its values, respects residents, values long-standing employees, and communicates with transparency and integrity.
