PETITION BY JOZI FM LISTENERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS RE: NON-COMPLIANCE BY JOZI FM WITH ICASA COMMUNITY BROADCASTING REGULATIONS

As a Soweto resident and loyal Jozi FM listener, I am adding my name to this petition because I believe the station is falling short of its mandate. Jozi FM is a community radio station, yet the same community that sustains it does not feel valued by management. I have personally submitted partnership proposals to the station on multiple occasions and received no response. A true community station listens, engages, and partners with its people. I support this petition in the hope that it pushes management to honor Jozi FM’s responsibility to serve and respect its listeners.

I am not happy about they way the station is doing things,like firing people with no reason.

We are not happy how our presenters are being taken out from the shows no notification jozi std has dropped we are messerable no radio station to listen to anymore yet we hv our communication favorite radio but its let it us down

No innovation at all,alot can come from Jozi that can benefit the young people of soweto
