Petition against Unilateral Hike in School Fees by Riverside School

I don't think it's fair increasing the fees this year midterm.

Totally agree the sporting situation is not ideal, particularly having the students walk along Harare Drive in groups. We never agreed to that, its very dangerous. The high school i am very worried the form 2s hv changed a lot of teachers and don't currently have an English teacher and hv official exams this year. The lack of communication on all this.

The school fees hike is not welcome. The school should have a meeting with parents before imposing such on us parents. This is the second time they have done this and it’s unacceptable.

The school administration does not consult parents on anything. They just make unilateral decesions.

The school administration does not even consult parents. What has changed? Are there any developments going on? My child can not even swim or play any other sports properly as expected & for that kind of money we feel short changed. On top of it all ,we purchase stationery and toiletries and pay $30 trips every month .Uniforms are sold at exorbitant prices ,overally hiking fees but with no actual benefits to the kids or parents.What does the fees really cover?? Transport is also outsourced.To get food at the canteen and have basic extra curricular activities there are extra fees ,so what exactly does the school fees cover?

I feel the school has been really inconsiderate - this is the second time they've increased school fees without our input, and they don't even give us time to prepare and budget. To be honest, the value for my money is questionable. I'm seriously considering moving my child to another school, even if I pay the same amount they're charging now. As long as there's value for my money, I'm good.

I feel that as parents we need to be consulted before such critical decisions are made. Further, I simply cannot understand why after all the fees we pay, we continue to be asked to fund every single thing from stationery, clubs, laptops for IT, even just simple cover pages for school textbooks the school has no courtesy to print those single sheets. A $30 trip only for our kids to get a measly sausage and chips meal - No sports grounds meaning our kids are stuck in brick and mortar all day... Medical insurance every year? Riverside goverance, come on!

This requires serious review

The fees hike is too much and is beyond our level of affordability. May the hime be reversed so that we will be able to pay up school fees for our kids. We have more than 1 kid attending school at Riverside
