I thought the minimum requirement for a single residence plot was 60'x100'. existing lot size 20,878' 3 homes @ 6,000' = 18,000 allowing only 2,878' for access road.

This is a clear exploitation of our community. Please do not allow corporations to change the zoning rules of our town for the sole purpose of greed. It sets a precedent for future companies to take advantage of single family lots and convert into crowded multiple lots.

Hi Everyone, This is Kevin Mulhern. I live at 180 Melrose Ave, directly next to 186 Melrose Ave. Thank you all for signing the petition. This Monday (8/20) at 8PM at the Borough Hall is the hearing whereby the proposed variance will be either approved or rejected. If you are available, I ask that you please make every effort to attend this meeting and voice your opposition to this proposed variance. The more support we have, the better chance there is of preserving the character of our community. Please note the current variance proposal calls for the building of three homes onto the 186 Melrose lot. I can forward the plan details to anyone interested. This information is also publicly available at the Boro Hall. I will be at the meeting on Monday. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me: 201-247-5602 and [email protected]. Thank you all for your time and support. Sincerely, Kevin

As a resident and mother of younger kids that run and play in those fields at Lincoln and Memorial park I am completely against this. This will cause overcrowd situations, parking and worse unsafe situation. Please reconsider this and move these type of housing development outside of our town.

I completely disagree with that kind of changes in the urban development of our town We buy our properties with the characteristics of we agree with This is so unfair for the rest of the owners

This area is already overpopulated. Adding additional housing will just make the matter worse. You have a school, park, and baseball complex right there. Adding more housing and traffic is ridiculous. Not to mention they are using the parking lot as their staging area for the prefabricated houses.

Negatively impacting tax payers so a corporation can make money. That is not fair. In this town we are working people and out homes are our most important investments while we raise our families. We also pay high taxes here.

This has been going on way to long.

No more overdeveloping! We will get overcrowded and it will hurt more than benefit the community. Money is not everything, let’s think about the future of our children!

Existing codes allow for construction that is compatible with the existing homes in the neighborhood. The proposed variance would allow construction that would not be in character with nearby residences. I believe it would also require a greater percentage use of the property than allowed by ordinance.

Sad to see how such a beautiful home was reduced to rubble! Enough with the allowance of McMansions to be built in our town.

This is ridiculous...why do they need to build up every inch of town...2 McMansions I am guessing!

We have lived here since 1976. Change is unavoidable but this is extreme. This has always been a quiet neighborhood and this misuse of space is going to change the dynamic of our peaceful neighborhood. Please do not allow this type of development in this small area of space.
