Steve Bunn's support for all students of fine arts extends far beyond his mer job specification and his loss from the sculpture programme would be a huge loss for all current and future students at the RCA/Battersea.

As well as being an invaluable member of the technician team at sculpture, having an expanded knowledge of all aspects of the workshops, as well as being sculpture's only member of staff with a thorough knowledge of new 3d programming which is proving to be an essential set of sculptural skills, he has also been a massive help in all other aspects. Since arriving in September, Steve has gone out of his way to help and inform me of a variety of funding opportunities as well as putting me in contact with people outside the RCA for jobs and work experience. His support for all students extends beyond his mer job spec and his loss from the sculpture programme will be a huge blow for all current and future students at the RCA

I am a first year Sculpture Research student and I believe the loss of a member of staff with such significant knowledge would be a great loss to the Research Programme

This is a disaster. Steve is one of the best technicians I have come across. He's incredibly generous with his extensive expertise and great to work with. This will really be a huge loss for the whole Fine Art Department. He cannot be moved.

Steve Bunn is an excellent professional and an essential figure in Fine Arts. Always generous with his time and knowledge, and ready to help all of us in any moment and with any idea. Please, bring him back.

Such a shame that the college fails to recognise its own assets within its teaching body. A ridiculous and damaging decision that should be overturned as quickly as possible. The RCA's reputation as an employer is marred once again.

the fine art department should not be getting rid of one of their best assets, known by all that approach him for help to be generous, supportive and a wealth of irreplaceable knowlege steve bunn is simply one of the best things about the MA course!!! He is also well regarded and respected by proffessional working artists from the RCA he has helped in the past, only last week I had a conversation with someone he helped in the past that was singing his praises. a ridiculous decision that will negatively affect not just the sculpture students but many accross the fine art school.

I am a mature student currently on my final year MA in the Printmaking.
I am currently working on my final year show’s pieces with Steve at the Sculpture workshop. Through working together, I have not just learnt from the technical aspect from 3D modeling software to concrete casting but developed a more critical approach to research/analysis and how to use these tools to evolve my own work.
Through Steve’s patient, encouragement and technical experience, I have finally found a way of working that seems personal and pushing my practice engagement with print media further. This is very exciting for me!
Steve’s diverse range of knowledge, enthusiastic and professional skills is one of the greatest assets to the Fine Art department. The technical support from Steve was one of the main reasons for choosing the Fine Art department at the RCA to pursue my postgraduate studies.
Right now I feel let down, angry and worry about this management decision.

The RCA should support fine art students and resource the new Battersea campus that they have built. Work and the reputation of the college will suffer asa result of reducing technicians in sclupture. I am paying the full £18000 for my MA. I feel let down, again
