PETITION ( by VoCRA ) AGAINST THE SPLITTING OF VOLTA REGION

I completely condemned the idea of splitting the only thing that bind us together as volterians. the president may have good intentions of developing the region but defenetly, splitting the region is not one of them. We are tempted if the idea of divide to rule is the idea. together we stand to kick against it. yes some self seeking individuals among us maybe in support, but I believe we can out stand them .

He should focus on the development and the fake promises he made and stop doing things that are not necessary

Please there is no need for the division. Nana please go and divide ur region please.

The splitting of regions is not a direct recipe for development. The government must work had and ensure value for money in all projects undertaken in such region.

I don't want any division... Ashanti region is bigger than Volta...he can only divide Volta region after Ashanti

Don't split Volta region

The splitting is not the solution. What about our brothers and sisters at Aflao who are close to Lome than Accra. Should they call for separation. Again Anum, Asikuma etcetera who are close to Ho than going to Koforidua, a lot of this examples. I am against the splitting of the Region government can still develop if they want to it. . Government do not send development fund to the regions for which one can say that would be used to develop the region as it is speculated. It is for us to be United for equity not division. I signored against the splitting of Volta Region.

Division is never a guarentee for development, development and division of the people vis a vis the land size is only job for the boys and colonial way of bringing division among the people, the very reason our fathers do not want to vote for government. You may ignore this petition, but you do so at your own history, because we would tell it to our kids and unlike the past, we would be documenting it and engraving it on their hearts. The choice is yours

There are other regions which could be divided too like the Ashanti and Eastern Regions but the President morally didn't dare to divide them. Is the Volta Region a test rat or Guinea pig to be used as an experiment? I know that the current Government in Ghana has a parochial interest and an agenda set to further plunge the Volta Region into abject poverty, anarchy and division. This must not come to pass. I say NO! Don't divide the Volta Region. Thank you
