Volta Region formerly referred to as Trans -West Togoland has been in existence before Ghana's Independence and cannot in the 21st century be divided into two Regions.If the NPP government sincerely wants to develop the Region then the government needs to create more districts and leave the Region intact ,

I disagree to the idea of dividing my beloved Volta region.

I am strongly agaisnt any intention of splitting the Volta Region of Ghana. We will resist any such attempt by this government because Voltarians are one people.

I'm strongly against this absurd idea . who even told him we want to split up.The more I think of it the more angriyer I become. Let's come together and fight this course.

We need to have our own country.. This the time to do so

This is total nonsense. Govt could not distribute common fund through a single source and at this particular time of devisional vision on party line. Am optimistic things will now blow into unproposition level. Why not divide Ashante Region with such a huge bloated population. BecausevAshantehene will never let his region be Decided/splitter. Simply because UNITED WE STAND DEVIDED WE FALL. THIS SHOUKD NET HAPPEN IN VOLTALAND. remember the 50 YEAR. OF COLONIZATION OF TOGO BY THE FRENCH AND VOKTA REGION BY THE ENGLISH AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR AGREED BYBTHEVTHEN UNITED NATION MANDATE. OF WHICH VOLTA REGION TOBECONE A COUNTRY BY ITSELF. I support the petition againt the splitting of volta region.

We don't need it. Moreover, the Ashanti region is bigger and more populous than Volta. Let them split that first if they think is for our good.

I protest against the split. No divisive politics. Don't separate Ewes from other tribes for your evil plans. Why not divide Ashanti and Eastern regions? Ashanti region is bigger than Volta ?Why not divide it too ?
