What miserable, stupid, pettifogging burocracy! The colour of a Goalie's shirt makes him easy enough to distinguish him without worrying about the number, which, in reality, a referee will hardly ever see!

As a AFC R&D Fan I'm disgusted by the southern league by not giving any respect to the club and to Dale Roberts family by not allowing the starting goalkeeper only to where the 1 shirt instead of 17, it's so sad when this league cannot have any compassion towards a club's mark of respect to a player who is sadly no longer with us. SHAME ON YOU SOUTHERN LEAGUE.

Please reverse your crass decision and allow AFCRD to continue to use number 17 for their goalkeeper. Common sense must prevail.

Dale deserves to be remembered. He was a top bloke who became very good friends with my younger sister Ellie, who has Down syndrome. She still goes to watch diamonds because of him and talks about him on a regular basis. I'm signing this not just for me but her to, as she would love to help keep his memory alive.
