This is a ridiculous bureaucratic decision. In these days where I've seen a player wearing a #99 jersey what possible difference does it make to the southern league if Rushden don't have a #1 jersey.

West Ham have no 6 - Man City have no 23 - this is just crazy, unnecessary. Some of these "blazers" need to get real and learn a new word - "discretion". You have my full support, and if the fines start rolling in you have my money as well.

boro supporter, don't have any ties to the team or the story but we all part of the football family and its shame those running the game at whatever level, always seem to forget this! Small rules small minds our game is bigger than this!
