i am still very against this project. Gourits has been part of my family since my granny was a little girl (born 1926). Its very close to my heart and many of my family members own property in Gourits. NO ABILON NO!!!

Die vreemdelinge wat gaan toestroom en ons dorpie onveilig gaan maak. Die kamp is te klein vir nog inwoners vir die drein sisteem.

Unspoilt coastal road will be heavily overused,creating dust. Effluent will pollute the area which has no water borne sewerage or similar. There is insufficient infrastructure.

No no no no no!!!!!!!! It will destroy the local safety and security of the whole region and lead to the influx of hundreds of workers. Where are they planned to stay???? Gouritsmond town does not have enough water for them.

Gourits is a quiet little fishing village for retired ppl and holiday makers. Its not meant for farming of abilone as this would up crime with unwanted ppl there and poachers!!!!
