Extend the season and grant the hunters more access to residential property we love harvesting these animals and put the meat to good use , I pay enough tax money

The Feds can't run a websight, or a federal hunt

I'm a young hunter and I want to be able to hunt on Long Island for years to come

Let the hunters take care of this issue.

Allow hunters greater access, extend the season, increase the buck and doe tags, reinstate the crossbow provision, and get rid of the 500' set back rule! Change it to 150' for Suffolk county for archery! Common sense! Do not waste the taxpayers money when hunters can achieve better results when the dec allows us greater flexibility!

Give the hunters the opportunity to take care of the deer!

Allow local hunters the opportunity to hunt - don't bring in sharpshooters to hunt at night, with suppressed weapons, from moving vehicles, in residential neighborhoods. THIS GOES AGAINST ALL ESTABLISHED LAWS & ORDINANCES. Defend our proud heritage of hunting, mange not massacre. All methods to cull these deer are considered illegal in NYS. Allow hunters to solve this issue while increasing revenue instead of wasting taxpayer’s money. Extend the season. Open up more land to bow hunters. There is no way that the meat of 3,000 deer will go to food shelters. These deer will end up in a pit somewhere.

Give Long Island hunters a chance to control the deer population. Give Long Island hunters the same hunting rights as you are giving these sharpshooters. Extend the hunting season and make a requirement to get a permit to shoot a buck. You have to shoot two does before you can get a buck permit. I know my group could have shot 12 does if this became a rule. Open up parkland to hunters only a day week. How aqbout holding a meeting and let hunters have input to come up with regulations.

i shoot deer on several nuisence permits on the east end in the areas being targeted and this year for some unfounded reason they shut all permits down on Sept. 15th. but yet they say there are too many deer. I dont get it. Also they dont allow the harvest of antlered deer. I thought we had a deer problem ? Let the hunters do the job, stop constantly putting restrictions on us and let us harvest the deer. These deer will end up in a pit somewhere. And i know enough people to find out where . And you can bet there will be pictures. Also the county keeps putting up parkland signs everywhere and not allowing hunting on these lands where people have hunted for years and now they are shut out. I thought we had a deer problem?

I feel that the hunting regulations should be altered to maintain the deer population. Increase amount of public hunting land, earn a buck, more doe permits, longer seasons
