totally unacceptable behaviour towards cliff Richard, I would still feel the same if this was done to a ordinary person rather than a celebrity.

I am outraged not just because this is a Peer of the Realm and I am a fan (not a fanatic). The BBC apparently and according to the Police the BBC pressurised them almost to the point of blackmail. If this is true (and I am giving them more chance to prove me wrong than they did Sir Cliff), then a public apology both verbal and in writing is the least Sir Cliff and his fans should expect. To my mind the BBC should be stripped of the title 'British Broadcasting Corporation' and the licence fee should be abolished. Because of their blatant disregard for justice and there over zealous approach to what they consider news and I consider maliciousness. It appears they are over compensating in this instance for their lack of moral fibre and suspect judgement on matter concerning their broadcasts and their employees in recent times. This type of media coverage is the shame of Britain.

I complain to the chairman of the BBC and his handling of the media coverage in partnership with South Yorkshire police. I would like the Chairman of the BBC to give a public apology to Sir Cliff Richard for the way they have handled this situation.

I think it is disgusting the way Sir Cliff has been treated. People's heads need to roll, both at the BBC and South Yorkshire Police.

I believe it is crazy that a person as kind and as professional as Sir Cliff Richard that does so much good has been treated in this way. I am not a big fan like most of his loyal supporters are, but I have been to several of his concerts with my wife and enjoyed everyone of them. The one thing I have learnt is that the media are always trying to find some dirt on Cliff but because he is such a clean and genuine person. To think they will go so low as to do this, which will be another wasted attempt for them. Let's remember this is the man they refuse to play his songs on the radio because they have issues with him. I hope when this has been sorted out and he is found to be totally innocent that those in the police and bbc are put through the same public traumatic time and enquiry. So let's get an apology and treat Cliff with the respect he deserves.

I am absolutely shocked by this treatment. I always believed that someone was kept of of media until there was an actual charge against them and not just an accusation. Even worse that Cliff had to watch it on TV at the same time as the rest of the world
