It is disgusting how you have treated Cliff Richard , a drug dealer or mass murderer would have had their identity hidden & not named till they were charged .

The whole event has been a travesty of justice! Sir Cliff is one of the best and most reliable personalities in the show business world. Unfortunately that clean image has been the envy and target of too much of the media! I agree that the BBC and the South Yorkshire Police have been complicit in apparently 'doing their jobs' at the expense of a wonderful person and smearing his name. Lets hope that when he is exonerated that gets as much publicity! (probably not though, that would be too much to hope for!)

I'm no UK resident but watch BBC via internet. For the most part I'm satisfied with the programms I select but the 'breaking news' on August 14 with a malicious grinning reporter, the cameras filming the procession of police cars and the helicopter scanning the inside of Sir Cliff Richard's property was low down action, especially because the owner was unaware about the action. He's treated like guilty person from the media worldwide before even getting the chance to defend himself. I wonder whether BBC won't get a sequel at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The treatment that both the BBC and the media have shown to Sir Cliff is utterly disgraceful. For most of his showbiz life the media have been trying to 'find' something on him, how sad are they. I do trust that the police who tipped off the BBC are investigated, sacked and stripped of their pension. I do not want this behaviour carried out in my name. As for the BBC surely it is a waste of licence payers money to have a helicopter and reporters turn up at someone's property who has not been questioned or charged by the police. Disgraceful behaviour all round. Only Sir Cliff has behaved with dignity, as he always does.

The treatment by the BBC of Sir Cliff Richard, it was beneath what I thought the organisation stood for - which is fair unbiased reporting. now on reflection - I question how many other stories have had the hand of the bbc in it. The failures of the bbc in the past should not make it possible for them as an organisation to clear their own failures by destroying the very long time held reputation of a man - a human being - I really hope your organisation is proud of its self because I a British citizen am ashamed and so are my friends from around the world.. I shall no longer be watching or listening to any bbc news or once again be watching the bbc "one show". . I hope you will put this situation right.

I think it's disgusting that Sir Cliff has been treated this way. It has been handled very badly and I hope that the Chairman looks to his morals and makes a public apology.

If the media can't find out any dirt on people, they make it up! It's been going on for years. I'm one of Cliffs biggest supporters and always will be

Cliff deserves justice - no one should be treated like that. An apology is not enough! But a start...

You already stop his music being played, what more do you want. About time you treated Cliff fairly, why do you have such a downer on him. He is a genuine lovely, kind gentleman, who helps so many people with his charity work.

I think it is absolutelty disgusting how Sir Cliff has been treated. The BBC should be ashamed of themselves. So glad I do not live in the UK as I would be ashamed to call myself British.
