I thought in this country people were innocent until proven guilty. The BBC has invaded Sir Cliff's privacy and should apologise publicly to him.

This whole situation of televising the raid and Cliff wasn't even informed, is disgusting an apology must be forthcoming from the BBC and it made public.

Just because someone is famous it is not correct to identify them as someone who has been named of sexual abuse, when they haven't even bee arrested! Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and this man now has to live with this damaging accusation. It is an embarrassment, both socially and professionally

How can it be right to plaster someone's name aroundthe world when they have not been accused or charged by the police. What has happened to innocent until proven guilty in the courts.It should not be trial by the media.

I am outraged at the way Sir Cliff has been treated by the BBC when he has been neither charged or arrested. It's trial by media which is dispicable

I am horrified by the way the BBC has treated Cliff, he is a good Christian man and I believe he is innocent. A mere accusation without any evidence, how dare the BBC use public money to fund such a report.

The way that the BBC covered this event is in keeping with the absurd treatment it has given Sir Cliff over the years. We look to the BBC to set the highest standards of professionalism, but instead they have lowered themselves to tabloid standards. Shameful !
