Sir Cliff has been treated in a disgusting way in my opinion in order to defer attention from the other situation in Rotherham. This country has a law that states a person is innocent until proven guilty. They are also entitled to a fair trial. Sir Cliff has not been arrested or charged with any offence. This action by yourselves and SYP has besmirched a good man's reputation for no other reason. I demand you make a public apoliogy to Sir Cliff and sooner rather than later.

Cliff Richard deserves a very big public apology from the Chairman of the BBC. It should never have happened

The treatment by the BBC of Sir Cliff Richard, it was beneath what I thought the organisation stood for - which is fair unbiased reporting. now on reflection - I question how many other stories have had the hand of the bbc in it. The failures of the bbc in the past should not make it possible for them as an organisation to clear their own failures by destroying the very long time held reputation of a man - a human being - I really hope your organisation is proud of its self because I a British citizen am ashamed and so are my friends from around the world.. I shall no longer be watching or listening to any bbc news or once again be watching the bbc "one show". . I hope you will put this situation right.

This was absolutely disgraceful behaviour by SYP and BBC. Needs fully investigated and Sir Cliff exonerated and compensated for such slander . What sort of law was this?

I could not improve on Mr Andrew Prentice's comments in any way as he puts my thoughts and feelings so eloquently. Just that we want the BBC to say sorry to Sir Cliff in Public Face to face!
