Cliff needs a public apology from both the police and the BBC by the way in which they handled this. I was shocked watching the constant coverage of this so called "story" when even Cliff himself knew nothing about it. The use of a helicopter was excessive to say the least, and seemed to be used to make this "story" have more importance. I am sure the cost of using a helicopter could be put to better use and not used to try to make a man look guilty of something when he had not even been questioned.

Cliff deserves an apology from the BBC who even if they were not told to hold the story should have had the common sense to do so. The BBC have contributed to prejudicing the case and public opinion against Cliff, not to mention contributing to the damage to his reputation. Also, improper use of licence payer's money by using a helicopter. A poor way to treat one of the country's finest stars.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Sir Cliff reputation will never recover from this. there will always be no smoke without fire. Why was his home searched when there is not even enough evidence to interview let alone charge him. The BBc has always had a campaign against Cliff with banning his records from their radio stations. I do not want my license fee used for a which hunt against an innocent man.

Cliff Richard deserves a public apology from the BBC for the shabby treatment/coverage of his house search. Not only did the BBC collude with SYP in the pursuance of a 'scoop' they need to reveal the source of their 'information' that led to the investigation.
