The way in which the coverage was handled ,makes my blood boil.Sir Cliff was unfairly treated and he should be given a public apology by the chairman ,as soon as possibly. Cliff should never have been treated in this way.

It was appalling the way the BBC and the SYP colluded, damaging an honorable person's reputation. Then the audacity to send the raid for an award?!!! Whoever approved these actions should acknowledge their bad judgment and offer a sincere apology to Sir Cliff.

The BBC chief and the rest of them will get their justice in due course. They are Evil. Especially that white haired monster chairman. His days are numbered, What he /they did to Sir Cliff was a pinprick, compared to the everlasting and eternal misery, torture, pain, etc. he / they shall receive. And as for the BBC well they will never be the same again. They will go down to tubes. That is guaranteed. In this lifetime.

I am signing this petition because I am and was at the time, totally disgusted at the manner in which the BBC colluded with south Yorkshire police in the raid on cliffs home 2 years ago. To mount such an outside broadcast doesn't just 'happen''. it has to be pre planned to get the camera crew and use of the helicopter arranged with reporters both in the air and on the ground. cliff wasn't informed of the raid on his private property and has repeatedly stated that he wasn't even in the country nor had he been interviewed by the police before such drastic action was taken by them. the BBC are supposed to report news and facts, this action was neither, it was simply sensationalism, based on no facts at all except unproven allegations which had not been investigated. this action is nothing more than the destruction of an innocent person's character, defamation of character. the BBC should make a clear, honest, public apology to sir cliff together with a full explanation as to why the BBC took such undemocratic action against a person who had not been interviewed, arrested or charged by the police. the BBC has a lot of questions to answer with this matter. do the honourable thing Mr chairman, give a fully explained public apology in regard to cliff Richard.

I believe an apology should be made, and also compensation should be looked at too. This has forever damaged Sir Cliff's reputation and career. It is appalling that BBC and the South Yorkshire Police, did this.

A lot of damage was done emotionally , mentally to Sir Cliff and also his family, friends and many fans by the unnecessary coverage of the raid on his home. The least the BBC could do is give a public apology to Sir Cliff Richard .
