This will lead to an increased error in prescribing without the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

1. Drug abuse cases will accelerate because everyone can buy drugs without restriction, if there is no prescription.
2. A drug may have multiple indications and some drugs are off-label. It is dangerous to dispense a drug without stated indication.
3. Non-pharmacists lack of knowledge on compounding and formulating drugs. This will leads to production of non-sterile formulation.
4. If psychotropic medicines can be dispensed by prescribers, there will be uncontrolled dispensing by unethical prescribers to patients they think fit.
5. Juruteknologi Farmasi is not a profession, they somehow lack of knowledge in pharmacology of drug, so they will make mistake in some complicated cases.

Patients have the right to get proper and professional medication. Without the proper knowledge on pharmacology, it will be risky for the particular patient.

This move is not a move forward towards an inclusive healthcare where everyone (including patients) play a role. This is why I oppose it. #NotoRUUF

Shouldn't experts in drugs be allowed to intervene and screen prescriptions to minimise the risk of harm and drug interactions, instead of having professionals who specialise in other areas to do this? The job of a pharmacist is definitely irreplaceable!

In europe and US country, they let pharmacists as the main and only medical profession to dispense drugs to patients. It secures the job scope of pharmacists and also allow safe medication to be dispensed. Pharmacists also know how to identify wrong prescription and improve health care to patients. Its already been covered in syllabus when studying in pharmacy courses provided by any medical university. This new rule has violated the job of pharmacist and also the ekonomi of Malaysia. It reduces the health of Malaysian citizen which leads to poor work ability. This will then lead to poor work efficiency and low ekonomi can be achieved. There will be no healthy people to do work. And also whole Malaysia will become an infection zone. Is this what you want for the future? Even though I'm a pharmacist student, but I know that this rule should not be even be exist or even be considered.
