Patient's right in getting advices from different healthcare professionals for a holistic care is abolished in RUUF. The ultimate goal of patient's health care (safety, effective, holistic) is diverted in RUUF. RUUF seems to be built for efficiency of running the healthcare system and detrimentally compromising the patient's welfare.

The new RUUF exposed patients to higher risk of getting medicines/dispensing errors when there are no counterchecking of the medicines being dispensed. Just check the statistic in the govt. hospital pharmacy of med. errors that have been screened by pharm. Dept. and you will understand how important it is not to let the prescriber / non trained person to dispense medicines to patients especially when it comes to psychotropic medicines.

How come doctor will have compounding rights althougt they didn't learn it during the university? We as a pharmacy student have learned and done many practical of it more than a year about compounding only not mention about pharmalogical properties, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic of the drug for four years. We even learn how to know each chemical structure in details about the drugs and trearment during our four years of study. We also learn to detect clinical sign and syntom what disease or treatment that the patient need but we didn't ask for the rights to directly diagnose and detect the patient problem without the doctors permision althought we learn it for four years. We as a pharmacy have been respect the doctor job and profession for years. Why can you do the same? Why couldn't we have dispensing rights in Malaysia? Dispensing right may cause an increase of treatment but not alot. But it will double or may triple the effectiveness and safety of the treatment for patient. Do you know the are many cases about drug-drug interaction problem and drug allergies than Malaysian suffer. By having this we could become a team to delivered the best treatment for the Malaysia citizens. You said also it will cause the patient time because there are no pharmacy near a clinic. Why don't the privatized clinic hire some pharmacist in their clinic? It will resolve that problem of wasting patient time. If Malaysia n goverenment give despensing to pharmacist. Within a few years there will be more pharmacy or maybe all clinics will have a pharmacy near them. The compliance of drug take by the patient will also increase and the treatment effectiveness will increase. Because the pharmacy could advise the patient about how, why, the do and the don't during the treatment. The increase the no of pharmacy also will cause the problem that you said of increase of treatment cause (which is only a little increase although you make it a hassle) decrease. No we are not work to condem

I'm sorry. I seems can't see the benefit of new rang undang-undang. Of course, society and pt are the first priority. I believe that the everything that had been done before are for pt. To reduce the medication errors, dispensing errors and screening any errors in the prescription.

The RUUF clearly is harming the development of public health care system and the result will bad-ly affect the citizens. The one i feel dejected the most is ' pharmacist can be supervised by non-pharmacist officer'. I am very much wondering how 'pharmacist-ly are pharmacists being supervised for?
