Phamarcists should be given the rights to dispense medicines because they are the experts in medicines. They are called Pharmacists.

I find the new regulations are absurd and pharmacist have no role to play. Why have pharmacist if they have a job. Plus, the goverment organisation might not the data on how many medication happen each year, even each patient, but studies have proven people are becoming more sick because of medication error and its adverse effect. Imagine the amount of money you can save by preventing this and use it for more important purpose. Malaysia will never be a developed country with such regulations.

Why is the Govt taking an easy way out to save cost? Did the policy makers for once think about the patients welfare when they do not know which medicine is for what, the effect of drug interactions and improper compounding. I have one question to the policy makers- you have already made a mess of medicine due to poor policy decisions - so many Med schools producing so many graduates- but not enough employment. So you have introduced this short sighted policy as a stop gap measure. Now again due to short sighted policies, there are numerous schools of pharmacy throughout the country- which will eventually result in the same thing for pharmacists as well. What then- no need for doctors? Appreciate if the policy makers can take a holistic view of the healthcare system for the benefit of everyone involved and have long term policies that looks at both current and the future needs of the Malaysian population. REJECT RUUF! Strongly disagreed as it might be dangerous if we get the wrong prescription.
