
Petition Against Rezoning General Plan Amendment 240053


We, the undersigned owners of property surrounding the proposed project, oppose the requested zoning change from the existing Rural Residential (RUR: RR) to Community Development: Medium Density Residential (CD: MHDR), Community Development: Medium High-Density Residential (CD: HDR), and Community Development: Mixed use Area (CD: MUA). We believe this Project proposal is totally out of place for our rural agricultural / farming community. It would negatively compromise our rural lifestyle, which is why we decided to live in this area. Traffic is already a problem during the busier hours of the day. The main roads for ingress and egress to this proposal are Mesa Rd. and Sage Rd.- both single lanes each way with a little room for improvement. Retail businesses would create further congestion. A project such as this should be closer to existing retail and not in a rural area. We believe if the property owner wants to develop this property, he should do so under the current zoning that the property has, which is appropriate for this area.
