Final supporters
The Henties Bay community can be considered a very vulnerable community in the light of the Covid-19 crisis for the following reasons:
- The community is mainly low-income and/or elderly and therefore subjected to malnutrition and underlying health problems which lowers their immunity to the disease. In fact, the majority of the town’s residents fall within these high-risk populations
- The health care facilities in the town is very basic to non-existent, both in public and private sector and related to facilities and health care professionals. This means that the community would not be able to handle an outbreak of Covid-19 in the town, among all sectors of the population.
- The medical personal monitoring the Positive cases, should be living on site with the cases and not in town next to our Old age home,
- Food and supplies should be delivered to the quarantine buildings outside of town and no one from these facilities should be allowed to be roaming in town.
- No visitors to and from the facilities to be allowed.
We therefore strongly urge the authorities to reconsider such a decision, which would endanger an already vulnerable community.

Please, I have a frailing, 86,year old mother, at the Frail Care center. We are feeling helpless, as decisions are made on our behalfs, which is truly unacceptable.
Kan nie glo julle is soooo onveraantwoordlik om dit in Henties te beplan, waar daar so baie ou mense is, wat tog die grootste risiko faktor vir hierdie virus is
Why infect a virus free town with mostly elderly people living in it and the town have only one doctor and one pharmacy and one clinic an no other medical facilities available for 4000 citizens
I strongly feel the same about facts. Hentiesbay is one of the most biggest tourist income for Namibia but mostly town is all about supporting each other and mostl of all 80% of Hentiesbay is retired old people who will be exposed to covid 19 and there immune system is not that strong as the young. Keep Hentiesbay save
Keep all of the people and doctors at the centre ,they can order their food and essential stuff via telephone and it can be delivered to them, our people do not need to go and cook for them or clean, they all are grown ups and can do this for themselves, they have to keep their distance
Respect human rights! Respect human dignity!
Government is not ready for covid 19 as they have been preaching

Keep the sick away from henties!if we get sick we need our own facilities please each town make sure you have your qrnteen centers ready for your peoples we in henties cant allow you to bring possible sick people in our town!!for the ones thats sick i hope you get well soon
