I am signing this petition in opposition to the proposed traffic lights.  Samford Road does not need another set of traffic lights slowing the flow of cars.  It already takes long enough for commuters to get home to their families without another set of lights going in.  We cannot just put up a set of traffic lights everytime someone decides they would like better access from their property.  Why inconvenience thousands for the sake of a few.  

Keperra Sanctuary residents were aware that they could not turn right out of the village when they bought there.  As far as crossing the road safely, traffic islands in the centre of the road provide a safe refuge for people until they can cross.  If they wish to cross at lights there are a perfectly good set at the corner of Samford and Settlement Rds.  

Please read this letter and take into account the opinions of others in the community before you install these lights.
