This is immoral and ignoble for a noble profession like ours to be naive at raising funds

The deduction should be reviewed downward and NMA should account for the money they received from MDCN. We accuse politicians of been corrupt, it looks as if the corruption among us doctors is monumental. We should be accountable.

NMA should be innovative. Look for other ways to fund the building. I wonder how much we have in the account over 30 years after the association was formed. We stop taxing ourselves unnecessarily. Many doctors are hardly paid N100000 monthly, and these have other responsibilities. I am referring to those working in the private sector. They should focus on many other things.

If the NMA wants a new building, they should organize fund raising, they are more pressing issues affecting doctors in Nigeria e.g brain drain, competition from quacks for limited jobs, poor welfare etc

Have they tried other ways to raise this money before passing this burden unto us?

NMA should rather wade into the problems of joblessness and lack of residence training placement experienced by a good number of its members. Drs in Nigeria are suffering! A magnificent Secretariat is not what we need now. Our welfare should come first!

It's pretty simple. NMA should bring out a plan of the supposed building and let's see how much it will cost.

NMA is unwilling to help fellow Doctors, they are being partial to senior Doctors and neglect the Junior ones. They do not have our interest and for this I sign this petition. It's either they begin to change the system for the better or leave us as it is, no more levy collection of any kind. Thanks.
