nma, monthly deductions and practicing license remittances should build it gradually. No need for extra taxation on the doctors in this cripplingly economy with the attendant inflation in the country.

The levy is ill timed. NMA should get more involved in the affairs of its members who are impoverished by non payment of salaries by their governments , some being owed about 10 months arrears.

I think this levy ridiculous & totally unfair. What exactly is the NMA for? What has it done to better the lot of Nigerian doctors. What has money that has been collected over the years been used for. There is no accountability whatsoever. Why must they have a massive building in Abuja anyway? Ideally they should be sending us copiesof their budgets, amount collected & amount spent every year. This levy is uncalled for.
